Bring Your Look Together With Jewelry
Buying jewelry can be such a fun and enjoyable process. Evaluating the many shiny gems and jewels is a joy to the eyes. Selecting the right piece of jewelry for you or your loved one becomes much easier when you are armed with the right information. This article contains information about buying jewelry.
Handmade
If you love making jewelry, don't neglect "found" items in your designs! You can use all kinds of interesting tidbits to add flair and originality to your creations. For example, vintage buttons can make some very nice earrings! If you're into kitch, a collectible soda pop cap can make a cute pin! Be open-minded and creative to craft handmade treasures that will really stand out!
Sites like Etsy have a wide selection of handmade jewelry. You can find many unique, one of a kind pieces, but be careful. Some sellers may use pendants or other findings that can be widely purchased in bulk or from craft stores. Read reviews or search for similar items to make sure you're getting the best value.
Look for creative ways to add value to your handmade jewelry. Instead of using a cardboard earring holder, you can offer earrings that are mounted on a handmade birthday or Mother's Day card, or a necklace that is packaged in a vintage seed packet. Finding ways to encourage gifting of your wares, can make all the difference in the world for your cash flow.
For nice, even beading on your handmade jewelry, make sure that you can't see the thread from the previous stitch before moving on. This helps the thread to remain tight, providing tension among the crystal netting. You will end up with uniform beading in your jewelry if you follow this easy tip.
Looking at jewelry you would like to buy, decide how unique you want it to be. If you are having trouble finding a piece that speaks to you, try hand crafted. Hand crafted jewelry is available in any form of style and options. People who usually struggle to find something they like, will love the uniqueness of handmade jewels.
Shop on independent user sites to find jewelry that is handmade by individuals. There is no vetting or filtering of products offered for sale, so you will often have to weed through a lot of items that are less than professional, but finding that one striking gem is worth the treasure hunt. Among the most frequented websites for finding jewelry made by individuals are Etsy and Multiply.
If you can't afford to pay consignment fees for your handmade jewelry, consider partnering with other small and local business owners or jewelers to hold a trunk sale, mini-bazaar, or retail showcase night to generate interest in the community. Small jewelers and crafters can benefit by bonding with one another instead of viewing each other as competitors. If you are very worried about this, only approach jewelers with dissimilar styles and fashions.
It is sometimes hard to stand out from the crowd or find a meaningful piece of jewelry. Jewelry stores usually sell the same type of designs that prove to be a bore after a while. Go bold and purchase handmade artisan jewelry instead. Handmade jewelry will always be a success due to its one-of-a-kind nature. You will never see anyone else wearing the same thing as you and you will also be supporting an artist instead of an import company relying on low wage labor.
Buying jewelry can be quite the fun process. However, it can be more difficult than fun if one is not equipped with the right information and resources to make the right jewelry purchase decision. Apply this article's advice, and you will be on your way to buying the right piece of jewelry.

• Scissors
• Hot-glue gun and glue sticks
• Pumpkin
• Black construction paper
Directions
1. Unfold cheesecloth and cut into 3"-wide strips. Starting toward the bottom of the pumpkin, dot a 6" horizontal line of glue onto the pumpkin. Press a strip of cheesecloth onto it to adhere. Continue to work horizontally from the bottom up, dotting lightly with hot glue and starting new cheesecloth strips when necessary, until pumpkin is covered. Add another layer or two until no orange shows through.
2. Cut two 2"-wide ovals from the construction paper. Near the top third of the pumpkin, separate the layers of cheesecloth, using scissors if necessary, to create two 2"-wide openings for eyes. Dab hot glue inside openings; press ovals onto pumpkin. Pull cheesecloth openings closed to hide edges of construction paper.
Spindly Spider
Turn three gourds on their side to make this spider. Button eyes and branch legs complete the creepy crawly creature.
Materials
• 3 pumpkins, in graduated sizes
• Screwdriver or butter knife (optional)
• Six 6" bamboo skewers
• Scissors
• 2 small plastic or Styrofoam plates

flattest sides down.
2. Snap the stems off the two largest pumpkins, wedging a screwdriver or butter knife between the stem base and the top of the pumpkin for leverage, if necessary.
3. Poke three skewers halfway into the stem side of the largest pumpkin, spacing them evenly apart. Poke other end of skewers into base of medium pumpkin, pushing it toward larger pumpkin until the skewers hold them flush. Using remaining three skewers, repeat with medium pumpkin and smallest pumpkin.
4. Cut circles out of plates for eyes; arrange buttons on top for pupils. Pin eyes through buttonholes onto smallest pumpkin, above the stem.
5. If desired, wearing gloves and working on a newspaper-covered surface in a well-ventilated area, spray branches black, twirling them to cover all sides. Let dry.
6. Using screwdriver or knife to start the holes, if necessary, poke four branches into each side of middle pumpkin, evenly spaced, curves facing downward.
Have fun .
